Makaira Fisk, although born in a small town outside of Philadelphia, grew up in the heat and humidity of Valrico, FL. As a child she took to the stage in dance, vocal performance, and musical theatre. Her early roles included Annie in Annie and Marta von Trapp in The Sound of Music. As her talent for the stage developed, so did her passion. She found many ways to perform, whether at local coffee shops with her guitar or at MLB Spring Training games. Makaira graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre. She is best known in the Tallahassee community for her roles as Veronica Sawyer in Heathers: the Musical and Maureen Johnson in RENT. Makaira is most happy when she is eating sushi, singing in the car with friends, or making a late-night milkshake run to Wawa with her three siblings. Makaira Fisk is a hidden gem that is ready to make a name for herself on the big stage.
